On line reports were being made from the day after the site was put on the internet showing that some people prefer to give their information in this way. Being a new site there is a lot of work that can be done to improve it but the most important feature, on line reporting of crime information, is ready and working to allow poeple to share what they know anonymously and help stop crime. In August 2009 a series of armed robberies in the Northern Suburbs was stopped by members of the community who recognised the robber and were not prepared to let his crimes continue until someone was hurt.
